Yesterday was the best day yet. With the first article posted came the first barrage of all new visitors!
I've been busy working up content for this next week, and I think you'll enjoy what I have lined up. We'll be looking at the plastic warjack kits from Privateer Press soon, and we'll have an in-depth overview of Warmachine's latest faction Retribution of Scyrah for your reading pleasure, just to name a few.
If there are any specific products you'd like to see reviewed, please let me know. I'm already making my rounds securing product for review from various manufacturer/publishers, and I rarely leave any stone unturned.
Some companies are just impossible to work with, but there are more fish in the sea, and those are the ones who just don't get the in-depth coverage love in the end! In almost 20 years of doing this, working the companies for product to review has to be the worst part of the job.
I never understood why some are just downright ignorant, and can't take 2 seconds to hit the reply button and say "sorry we're not interested", instead of not having the decency to reply at all. I try to keep an open mind, but at the end of the day, those companies are the ones I tend to avoid trying to cover, because its evident that they don't care, so why should I? Unless a reader wants to hear about that companies' stuff, that's different. Then I usually find a way, depending on the situation.
This was the case even when I worked for many large well established print-based magazines too. Some just don't care, and are just downright ignorant. The other thing is, many companies end up letting the guy who used to run for coffee, or the best looking woman working for them handle the Public Relations end of the biz too, both of which aren't always the ideal candidates for the job.
Anyway, if you're a company with products you think we should be looking at, feel free to let me know. Equally if you're a reader who wants to see me cover something we haven't covered yet, do the same.
